Professional Beauty recognises the need to acknowledge those who are making a real difference to the beauty industry, and to encourage their development.
Professional Beauty has implemented a NEW AND IMPROVED judging system and will be working with a panel of industry experts across nails, spa and beauty to help select those individuals, salons, spas and suppliers demonstrating outstanding talent, aptitude and initiative in their roles.
Supplier awards categories:
All supplier products will be judged by Grazia online readers who will vote for their favourite brand. This will create a shortlist of the top five brands from this voting and then ask their customers to rate them on things like marketing, training and post-purchase support.
Salon, spa and nail bar categories:
Salons, spas and nail bars, will be short listed by peer groups upon submittal of a written portfolio. For example, salon owners will judge spas, nail bar owners will judge salons and spas will judge nail salons.
Residential Spa of the Year will be voted on by Magic FM listeners.
The nail salon, spas and salons will also shortlist nail tech, employer and therapist of the year
Professional Beauty's editorial team will then visit the shortlist and write a report. This will be sent to the judges, along with some mystery shopping results and they will meet again at second stage and vote.
Please note:
In the therapist and nail technician's awards, the applicants will have to come in and perform a manicure/enhancement (nails) or massage and facial (therapist) in our offices. A panel of judges will assess them and interview them.
